About Our Rescue Group

Kreacher Konnections is a foster based no-kill rescue that is dedicated to educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering. We offer free humane education classes to groups throughout the community to make connections between people and pets, educate the citizens about the homeless and feral pet population in the area and encourage spaying and neutering of all animals.

Our Mission

Kreacher Konnections is dedicated to educating the next generation on the importance of sterilizing their pets, proper care for physically and emotionally healthy pets and empathy for abandoned animals. Kreacher Konnections will rescue homeless and unwanted animals, caring for them until a suitable home can be found, as well as assisting owners who can no longer care for their pets. In doing this, Kreacher Konnections hopes to reduce the number of animals being born as well as saving animals from entering high kill shelters.

Humane Education Program

  • Kreacher Konnections offers free humane education presentations to groups to enlighten people of the need for spaying/neutering pets, how to choose a pet, how to care for pets and the plight of homeless pets in our community.
  • Teaching will include responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, and empathy for homeless animals in our community.
  • Kids will have time to ask questions and learn about resources.
  • Presenter will bring in rescue animals for the kids to meet.

Our Adoption Process

An  adoption application is required by all potential adopters and will be reviewed by Kreacher Konnection’s Board for approval.

All applications will be reviewed by board members to determine compatibility of owners and animals. We do our best to match energy level, family members, animal’s needs vs. owner’s expectations, and behavior specific to each animal. We are looking to see a good track record of caring for previously owned pets and to match the family’s lifestyle with the dog or cat’s needs. This process may require a vet check, a phone interview or a home interview – Kreacher Konnections wants potential families to be prepared for their new member and to ensure a good fit both for the humans and the animals. The process typically takes about a week depending on the schedules of volunteers and adopters.
All adopters will be required to sign a contract at the time of adoption pledging to care for the pet’s physical and emotional well-being. All aspects of the contract will be fully discussed with adopters before signing.
Kreacher Konnections does our best to evaluate all animals prior to adoption but we do not pretend to know how an animal will react to every situation and with every individual.  We expect responsible adopters to use patience and caution while getting to know their new family member.  A training class is an excellent way for an adopter to bond with their new pet and ensure a good relationship.
All cats at the time of adoption are negative for FIV/FelV(Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS), spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated with age appropriate shots, dewormed and given flea prevention.
